Sexy Unique Podcast aka “SUP” and all of the pods in the SUP universe. It was created and is hosted by Lara Marie Schoenhals, who you may recognize as the author of NYT bestseller White Girl Problems, but who I only know as Lars, Mother God of the lollers. She’s had a rotating door of guest hosts over the years, but writer Carey O’Donnell has been her cohost for a while now, and I can’t imagine the pod without him. Excellent film, TV, and pop culture takes with a twisted sense of humor. I have them to thank for turning me on to the world of Todd Haynes, and if all goes according to plan, LA residents could soon be thanking Lara for her petition to cancel food service at the Alamo Draft House’s reopening of the beloved Arclight cinemas in order to preserve the “pristine moviegoing experience offered by these hallowed theaters.” I pay for this on Patreon.
