Yes to epilating underarms. They HAVE to be clean and very dry, though. I’d even do alcohol and dust a fine layer of powder over before using. You really don’t want to get sweat and body oil in the gears.
so kismet - i epilated for the first time ever after doing laser hair removal on my face for 10+ years and still needing to shave. i hate the bluntness of razor-removed hair, and tried this on a whim.
i don’t even mind the pain, because the payoff is unlike any other hair removal. but the follicular inflammation is killing me.
i’m doing gentle cleanser, hypochlorus acid, lrp b5 cicaplast and celluma pro for 30 min a day.
i’m 3 days in and it’s improving but will i have to do this every time? should i have exfoliated more before? or is facial epilation a recipe for disaster?
Personally, I would avoid the face. Everyone has unique hair and skin, but I find that epilation works well on hard parts of the body where skin is stretched tight, like legs. The hair on my face is so fine and so close together, I don’t think the epilator would even do an efficient job grabbing it. But very interesting to hear it works for you.
Plus in the many times I’ve removed peach fuzz from the root, it’s caused a very specific and very frustrating type of breakout which I would like to avoid going forward. I prefer micro-planing for fuzz, none of the hair on my face besides my eyebrows warrants a stronger method atm.
It’s more important to exfoliate while the hair regrows to prevent ingrowns. Zinc or titanium oxide are good for inflammation, so at night I would do a thin layer of diaper rash cream with a high concentration of either of those. I basically do that every night at this point and rarely break out.
Thank god she’s back
Love this cult hiiiiiii
Congrats on the fundraise! 🫡
Thank you!
So glad you’re back! Say hi to Nick! Tell us more about epilators and underarms!
